Some does will develop a habit of nursing themselves. Oftentimes this can be from irregular or inadequate milking, so examine your management and try to avoid this if possible. The does get very full and begin to relieve themselves. Once this habit starts, they often begin to just enjoy the milk and the relief from the full udder, and stopping it can become a problem. Following is a picture of a device for this situation.
